Still Carrying On

It’s been over a month since I wrote my last blog post. I feel guilty for taking so long, but life has been a tad crazy. I don’t know about any of you, but I’m so over 2020. This truly has been the worst year ever. During the month of July, I felt like I was in the eye of a hurricane, but I’m still carrying on.

I made it through July with nothing short of a miracle. Storms are still passing, but I’m still carrying on. My running has slacked. My eating has slacked. Work projects have increased. Insanity has increased. But I’m still carrying on.

I’m sure at some point in your life, perhaps this year in particular, that you have felt like you just can’t take anymore. I get you! But you have to keep carrying on. I cannot tell you how many times in the past four weeks, I kept reminding myself that God’s got this. I can’t do this on my own, but I do still carry on, no matter many times I wanted to just get into fetal position and pull the covers over me.

Always know the battles you face, you never face alone. During trying times, always know you have many soldiers in your army willing to share the burden with you, willing to pray for, and with, you. Because of that strength, I’m still carrying on.

This blog isn’t my normal running or cooking blog. Sometimes thoughts just need to be written. You never know who needs to hear that it’s okay to struggle, but just keep carrying on.

“Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ” (Galatians 6:2)
