March Madness

March Madness is in effect, and not just in the NCAA college basketball playoffs sense. As I anxiously wait for my beloved Kentucky Wildcats game to start, go UK! #BBN. 💙💙

Weather has been odd this whole month throughout the country. My area has experienced tornadoes, storms, summer-like weather, and frigid cold temps. Other parts of the country have had blizzards, fires and other crazy weather.

I am happy to see spring be here, but I sure hope March goes out like a lamb.

Yesterday, I jumped out for a walk in the sun. Looks were so deceiving as the winds were biting.

Love the flags blowing in the winds

Spring is officially here and there were finally signs of it in nature. Many pear trees were blooming. I saw many daffodils popping up, and my allergies are in full swing.

But I sure do love this knowing summer is just around the corner.

I wish I could bottle up the sunshine and spread the joys during the stormy days. However, if I had that power, I wonder if I would appreciate these sunny days as much.

It’s interesting how we easily take the simple things for granted. The more we are accustomed to things, the less we appreciate them.

If this hits home a bit, slow down a bit and appreciate the simplest things. We all weather many storms, and no matter how tough life may feel, someone has it worse.

I had a big travel week and made it home on time, but that was not without stress. I literally was on dead runs to my connections. I walked on my planes going and coming because my connection was already boarding. I was afraid I would miss my connection and be stuck at the airport for hours. Once I was home and the stress was over, I wonder if I worried too much. My brain is wired differently and sometimes I just can’t help myself.

I took a chilly walk in the wind, but soaked up every ounce of sunshine.

Today it’s rainy and gloomy, but I’m geared up for my Wildcats. I’ll be a nervous wreck and won’t be able to sit still. I wish my sweet daddy was here to call me after the game so we can talk through it, play by play.

March Madness will forever live up to the hype. It’s pure madness. No matter the outcome, I’m happy and proud to be a Kentucky born and raised Wildcats fan.

Summer will be here soon and I’ll be thinking of the next seasons ahead. That’s what I do…I think ahead.

Until then…peace out, trouts!
